It’s hard to see the news coming out of Whyalla yesterday and not think about all the people behind it.
We may have moved away, but Whyalla was our home for many years and there are still a lot of people there who mean a hell of a lot to us.
Family, friends, old mates, customers and plenty of familiar faces we’ve gotten to know over the years - many of whom will now be wondering what the next few months/years might look like.
That’s the part that hits home for us.
Behind all the headlines and talk about the Steelworks are real people with mortgages, bills, kids, businesses and families relying on them.
We don’t know what happens from here, but we do know the Whyalla we remember.
It’s a town full of people who back each other when things get tough.
So over the coming weeks, months and years, support your mates, spend a few dollars with local businesses when you can, check in on someone who might be doing it tough and just keep looking out for each other.
We might not call Whyalla home anymore, but we’ll always have a connection to the place and genuinely care about what happens to the people there.

Our Cowboy Beans have a bit of spice, packed with flavour and are the perfect side to a big Smokey feed!
Every now and then we also knock up a NO SPICE batch - and they make an absolute killer base for our Vegetarian Loaded Chips & Loaded Nachos! 🌱🔥

We have just picked up our new BBQ Trailer and can't bloody wait to get this new beast wrapped and ready to start slinging you guys more feeds! 🍖🥓🥬🧅🧀🥩🍔🥐
This layout is going to be slightly different to our truck, with us planning on bringing back some old favourites we haven't done in a loooooong time (Birria Tacos 🌶️🌮 anyone?) plus playing around with options we'd love to serve ya!
