Last year our mates Zebrahead toured Australia again and as usual I went along for the ride, not just as a fan girl or a roadie this time but in the band as their BACK UP VOCALIST 💥
Wont say a dream come true because this was never on my bingo card in life but that isn't the most epic part
Back in 2019 when Smokey Uppercuts was just getting started I roadied with Zebrahead from the Gold Coast back to Adelaide driving with them and Death By Stereo doing about 10 shows in 11 days or something like that.
So I was hanging with them when I went to check out and consequently BUY our big smoker now known as THE TANK as it was in Queensland and I was literally driving past the suburb it was in. Zebrahead have personally supported us not only as friends and family but also supported Smokey Uppercuts from day 1 with them always saying how much they want to try our food, to even getting the most epic photos of them wearing our shirts! 🤘
So last year was pretty much a full circle moment as when we did the Adelaide show we took the truck to the Lion Arts Factory and FINALLY got to feed these legends! They said the wait was definitely worth it because our food impressed the **** out of them and they were stoked to see and hear that out little family business is still kicking goals!
Our kids have all grown up from babies with no choice but to listen to Zebrahead so they know all their songs whether they like it or not! They all (minus 1) got to experience a once in a lifetime opportunity with a band they all love!
We thought it was cool enough that we got to feed them, then they got to sit in on their own personal show with Zebrahead with dad on stage with them doing the sound check, but ZH went 1 step further and pulled them ALL UP ON STAGE TO ROCK OUT WITH THEM! 🤘💥❤️🔥
Kids = keen as Cowboy Beans. Mrs Smokey Uppercuts, not so much 😂
So how's this, a bunch of legends I have been listening to since the year 2000 or 2001 when I was 14/15, playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater where I discovered them, with memories of walking to Eyre High School with Matt, spinning Playmate of the Year on 1 of our cd walkmans, 1 ear plug each so we could both listen, to 25 years later with basically our whole family on stage rocking out with them.
We have been lucky enough to make a lot of cool memories as a family travelling for BBQ and involving concerts with bands we love but this is seriously peak core memories we will remember for the rest of our lives and pass down at story time for generations 👊

We got cleaned out of Loaded Snittys 🐔 the other night so we restocked, bashed, smoked and buttermilked another big batch so you guys can enjoy!
